Campaign Description:SB 227 passed through the State Affairs Committee, but was left in the Senate Finance Committee.

A companion bill, HB 287, received a hearing in the State Affairs Committee, but was not voted on.

SB 227 and HB 287 would mandate the Alaska Permanent Fund to divest its holdings in a select group of companies (called Highest Offenders) operating in Sudan and thus financially supporting the government's genocidal effort in Darfur.
