Campaign Description:Sen. Tim Burchett introduced SB 3161, which has been assigned to Senate Finance Ways and Means Committee.

Concurrently, Rep. Gerald McCormick has introduced HB 2951, which has been assigned to the House Finance Ways and Means Committee: Budget Subcommittee.

Each bill went through the Joint Council on Pensions and Insurance, in which the bills received a negative referral. This referral does not prevent the legislation from consideration in full committee.
